I used the 64 bit version as Windows 10 is 64 bit on my computer.ĭouble-click and install the Tftpd64 application.
The issue is I dont trust my soldering skills to not fuck it up so yea.Due to a wrong update of firmware, I bricked the TP-Link WDR 4300 wireless router I had.
I would like to preface this by saying I did not solder the header to the board but am simply holding it in place, although it is a tight fit.
I picked up a USB to Serial port cable, made up a little connect to connect to the pins on the router and started following this guide( ) but have hit a issue. This all happened during lunch at work, so read up what I would need to do to unbrick it and went to jaycar on the way home. Now on the bottom of mine it says it is version 1.11 but that is apparantly the same as 1.1 as on the board it has Rev 1.1 and on openwrt's site 1.11 has the same issues as 1.1 so needs the same build. Ok, so I got my brand new TPLink TL-WR1043ND router and attempted to flash gargoyle to it, unfortunately didn't see the bit about having to use 1.5 instead of 1.4.7 because of some compatability issues with V1.1.
Ok I wasn't sure where to put this but as it is more electronics related at its current stage I figured this section was probably best.
